The Dark Clouds Silver Lining are once again teaming up with Free Bikes 4 Kidz to help rehabilitate donated, gently-used bikes–which are then given out to children who wouldn’t otherwise have access. This time around, we’re teaming up with the rest of the Wonderwall to get as many volunteers as possible helping out this great organization.
The event is slated for Tuesday, November 12th from 6:00-9:00 p.m. CT at the Free Bikes 4 Kidz Warehouse in Bloomington.
While you don’t need experience in bike maintenance or repair, it does help. Volunteers are sorted into one of three categories:
- Cleaners – who clean the bikes and make them ready for gifting
- Preppers – who help to change tubes and tires
- Mechanics – who help to adjust derailleurs and bottom brackets
For a lot of us, there’s nothing more intertwined than childhood nostalgia and bike-riding. We hope that you’ll join us to help give that experience to others. Be sure to get signed up below!
