For the second straight year, members of the Dark Clouds Silver Lining group will be heading to Haiti, in partnership with The Sanneh Foundation’s Haitian Initiative (HI) program. This trip will take place Jan 21-28, 2018. All participants will have the opportunity to experience the culture of Haiti, while working in the school.

Some of the activities volunteers can expect to participate in include:

  • Teaching English
  • Assisting in the feeding center
  • Distributing soccer equipment to youth
  • Playing and coaching soccer
  • Assisting with medical testing and support.

All volunteers will stay at the HI guest house, visit the Haitian National Musuem and have the opportunity to take part in cultural excursions to the beach, Port-au-Prince and more.

The base cost of the trip is $700 plus airfare. A trip deposit of $125 is required to reserve space on the trip and is applied towards the $700 base cost. This deposit is non-refundable. The base cost covers all lodging expenses, an experienced translator and guide, breakfast and dinner, ground transportation to all activities.

All contributions, including airfare, are tax deductible.
