If you need a refresher on what we’re doing:
Second Harvest Heartland is an organization that helps bring food to our hungry neighbors. We’ve volunteered with them before and it’s always been a fun, low-stress opportunity to do service.
We’ll be packaging food with Second Harvest Heartland on December 28th between 6 pm and 8 pm. If you’re interested in attending, you can RSVP by clicking here.
Volunteers will repackage bulk foods such as pasta or cereal into consumer size packages, sort and salvage damaged products or food items, sort food from food drives and donations, or label cans. These items will go to nearly 1,000 partner agencies, including food shelves and feeding programs that serve our hungry neighbors. This opportunity requires that you are able to stand for several hours.
After the event we’ll be headed to New Bohemia for drinks.
