Join DC Silver Lining volunteers for a food packing event at Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) on Tuesday, March 21st between 8 pm and 9:30 pm. There you’ll get the chance to impact the lives of hundreds of kids in just 90 minutes.
Volunteers will be hand-packing fortified meals of rice, soy, dried vegetables, and a blend of vitamins and minerals into bags which are then sealed, boxed, placed on pallets, and shipped to locations world-wide to nourish children in need.
This event has even more meaning following the first Silver Lining Haiti Impact Trip in January 2017! Food served at the Haitian Initiative (HI) Feeding Center in Cité Soleil where Dark Clouds volunteered comes directly from Feed My Starving Children. For many of the HI participants, this meal represents their only meal for the day.
