DC Silver Lining would like to invite soccer community members to help us paint a large Black Lives Matters Mural in North Minneapolis.  This event is being hosted by the Minnesota African American Heritage Museum & Gallery (MAAHMG) and Seeds to Harvest, a coalition of business and community organizations focused on helping support the North Minneapolis community, of which DC Silver Lining is a member.

16 artists will be on hand each having designed a unique vision for each letter that will then be painted by the community that morning.  The photo gives you an idea of what we’ll be painting.  After a morning of painting, we’ll then head to La Doña Cervecería for some drinks and to get to know each other better and play some socially distanced futsal.

This event will take place on July 18th with a backup date on July 25th, depending on weather and permitting. DCSL will reach out to volunteers if the event gets postponed until the 25th.

We are looking for at least 20 volunteers to assist with painting. (No Experience Required, additional volunteers will be welcome.
Note:  Plymouth Ave N will be blocked off for painting so look for parking off of Plymouth Ave.

In order to be a positive and safe force in our community ALL participants must agree to follow the Silver Lining COVID-19 Protocol as stated below. (A good time to bust out those Dark Cloud Masks)
