Flash Crowd 2014 is going to be a fantastic event where a normal youth league match is ambushed and the atmosphere is elevated to that of a NASL final. That immersive atmosphere will be provided by thousands of like-minded footballing folks, like us. This is a great opportunity for everybody to be involved in a truly novel concept, including Dark Clouds, youth players, parents, and all friends of football.

Minnesota United FC, in partnership with Centennial Soccer Club (Lino Lakes, MN) and Lakes United Futbol Club (Forest Lake, MN), will be staging this unique, grassroots celebration of the beautiful game.

The event is free-of-charge to all supporters. The event will be held on Thursday, June 26th, near the main stadium at the NSC in Blaine, MN. Since the USMNT will be facing off against Germany in the FIFA World Cup earlier that day, this will be a perfect chance to keep drinking.

Tailgating begins at 5:00pm in the NSC parking lot near the Stadium (BYO anything) and the ambush will occur around 6:30pm. People are encouraged to arrive early so as not to miss a moment of the build-up.

The match will also be played as a testimonial for Gavin Pugh, Centennial Soccer Club’s Director of Coaching. I have no doubt that most of you know Gavin well and are painfully aware that he has been fighting hard against an impossibly-tough opponent in ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) since being diagnosed over a year ago.

Share this with everybody you know.
